FAQs

What happens during the 20-minute consultation?

During your session, you’ll meet one-on-one with an IBCLC via Zoom. We’ll review your current concerns, whether that’s milk supply, latch, pumping output, or general reassurance and provide clear, actionable guidance tailored to you. You’ll also receive a follow-up email summary after the session.

Is this consultation only for moms who are struggling?

Not at all. Many moms book sessions proactively to prepare before birth or to build confidence early on. Whether you’re experiencing challenges or just want reassurance and clarity, this session is designed to support you wherever you are in your feeding journey.

Can you help if I’m exclusively pumping?

Yes. We regularly support moms who are exclusively pumping, combination feeding, or nursing directly. We can review flange fit, pumping schedules, output concerns, and strategies to maintain or increase supply.

Does this replace seeing my doctor?

While your session is with a licensed IBCLC and provides clinical-level lactation support, it does not replace medical care from your OB, pediatrician, or primary provider. If symptoms suggest a medical condition requiring treatment (such as infection or hormonal concerns), we may recommend additional care alongside lactation support.

What if I need more support after the session?

If you need continued guidance, you’re welcome to book a follow-up session. Many families schedule additional appointments as their baby grows, supply shifts, or feeding goals evolve. Ongoing support can make a meaningful difference.
